I haven't gone mudding since 2007, but here's some pics of my Grand Vitara. I don't offroad it anymore because I can't afford to break shit on it. My wagon is my money pit and the GV my daily driver.

What she looks like now. Got these rims (Mickey Thompsons) for super cheap.

Mine is a 2002, but I bought it in 2005. I was mistaken on the year I took it off-roading, it was actually 2006.
As for the truck itself, I've enjoyed it, however it has it's issues. It sucks on gas, and with the colder weather it's pretty noisy/rattley. As well, the GV's are notorious for the front differential leaking. They suffer from bad seals I've heard. Only time it is an issue is when I drop it into 4 Hi or 4 Lo. That's when you can smell the fluid. I hardly ever put it in 4x4 though unless I want to tromp on the gas through some deep snow in the winter (not an issue in Kingston I hear).

I have mine lifted 2.5" in the front and back via spacers on the suspension (a lift kit my buddy designed and built) and am running 235/70/16 tires. Gives it a bit more clearance but nothing crazy. No crazy articulation that's for sure. I'm not planning on replacing it until 2012 as I have to wait until my fiancee is finished school and we're back to being DINKs.
