hi,

i'm wondering who offers the best deal on getting a 2 amp system with 4 speakers and a single subwoofer/cap installed in a 2001 chevy malibu.

i don't have the wiring kit or harness or any parts aside from the speakers, amps and deck, which is a cd player and graphic eq.

i've got a quote from one place but they're busy till later this month and it didn't really seem like a great price.

any help would be appreciated.

just to let you know, an intro nazi will shortly be telling you that you must post an intro in the intro section before doing anything else on here.

as for where to go, talk to cole at auto-add ons about having mike install it. Or jeff at best buy about getting it done there. Those are the two places I would check out.

I ended up going to Canadian Auto Sound in Scarborough.

Great service, a clean install and a price that was definitely much fairer than anybody in Kingston could offer me.

So you wasted like $50 in gas and your time to drive there..

^^Exactly...

"definitely much fairer than anybody in Kingston"

by the sounds of that 30-50 in gas seems like it wouldn't have made a considerable difference...

there was no waste! i travel to the city at least 3-4 times a month so it's not like i went out of my way for nothing.

i went with them because they've been in biz since the 1970s! i also had a good chat with one of the reps from a few mobile electronics companies about places charging too much, and subsequently going out of business, which is becoming more and more common in eastern and southern Ontario.

I frogot what the place is called.
You're on princess street, driving from Canadian Tire (at Bath) to Division St. Ontario St. "the water", whatever.

You see a Tim Hortons on your left, less than 30-40sec of driving. Turn right (not towards tims). Immideatly after you turn, you will see a little driveway.
At the end of this driveway there is a car audio installation garage.
They've been there for some time. If you don't know it's there, and are not looking for it, it will not be found.
Maybe they chose the location with this in mind. Lots of Hi-Fi audio in there.

They really seem to push Clarion Clarion Clarion products (Don't get me wrong, they make nice Head Units, but seriously? An all-Clarion system? Gtfo.)
I'm sure if you have your own components they can install it. Very professional, they know exactly what they are doing.

Though they are probably paid by Clarion to push their units.
I believe it's all they sell, actually.

I assumed this is Kingston.

They install anything, and they deal whatever they want to deal with. Whatever sells the best and they stand behind they will sell. They used to be a kicker dealer too.

I've had some work done by them, good wortk, and decent guys. They've all been there forever..

Nice directions.. haha... Anyway.. They are on MacDonnell.. There is a new Sushi place and an old Auto shop right out front.. There is a Norton sign haning above the shop...

Not that anyof this matters. The thread is dead, but I figured I would clear that up..
